Writing songs
Something for everyone
Love and romance
The modern fucking dance
Let's go out tonight
i know a cool place
Shoot pool, drink beer
Saving the human race at Tin Pan Alley
Saving the human race at Tin Pan Alley
Saving the human race at Tin Pan Alley
When there's a band
You move the pool table
But it's worth it 'cause
We're on the same level
Maggie the Socialist
Takes care of musicians
Feeds you a hot meal
Made right in her kitchen at Tin Pan Alley
Utopian mission at Tin Pan Alley
Utopian mission at Tin Pan Alley
The dance floor is crowded
The booths are all comfy
The bartender's friendly but
Mom'a a little grumpy
When the show's over
Times Square is right there
Catch a cab home or
Take the subway if you dare

Are We There Yet?
06:33
|
|||
We've been driving so long
The days feel like nights
Trying to get to our
Final destination
Killing the planet
As well as each other
Confident in our
Ultimate salvation
And all anyone wants to know is:
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?
So far to go and
So little time
Burning fossil fuel
As well as our brain cells
Seems like it was only
We were bidding our
Fond farewells
And all anyone is interested in now is:
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?

Post-Normal
03:54
|
|||
Been a long year, yes it's been a hot minute
And life just keeps spiraling out of control
Remember the orange head crybaby president?
Seems like that nightmare was ages ago
Global pandemic and science deniers and
Nobody wants to go back to their work
Everyone's waiting for things to be normal
So why am I feeling like such a cool jerk?
What does it mean to be Post-Normal?
Lately I'm feeling like selling my stuff and
Heading out into the desert alone
Anything but sitting 'round and reflecting
On pointless drivel I see on my phone
The pitiful fabric of so-called reality's
Fraying and coming apart at the seams
Nothing will ever be "normal" again and
No one knows just what the hell that means
This is what it means to be Post-Normal
